I married the man of my dreams, he is a sexy farm hunk and we have 5, yup 5 boys. That keeps us both busy and not to mention all of the farming that goes on. All of my pictures are taken by me and I claim the rights to them, so please dont copy them or reuse them for any reason - THANK YOU!!
Milk Man and I are 'discussing' our family size and wondering - one more? SO - I am taking a vote.... one more baby or no more babys... give me your opinion in the comments. EVERYONE TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!!
Heidi, as a mother of 2 I find you fascinating....Should you have one more? Holy cow! Whatever you want for your family! And, what do the boys say? I think if you pray about it, God will make the answer clear. Of course, I'm done at 2....I wanted 6, but I was so terribly ill with both pregnancies, I couldn't imagine taking care of other kids when I was that sick again. I barely was able to care for one. So, I kept waiting until they were old enough for me to be sick again...I haven't found that age, and now we're done! Of course, my hubby knew we were done YEARS ago. Anyway, I hope we're the "first" to know!
Well lets see. Me, I would say go for it. But I am not the one that will take care and feed and cloth the child. We had three! Boys to be exact. I would not trade a one for anything in the world. Three is an odd number though. If I had it to do over, I would of either stopped at two or had 4. They fought continuously! So much so, that I thought they would grow up hating each other! But as it turned out, the boys are very close! Which makes my heart swell with love for them.
Having three, there was always the ODD MAN OUT! When there was only two playing together, they got along beautifully, but you allow that third one in there it was WWIII! LOL Yes constant monitoring. Constant refereeing.
It is so much like that song out now, I think Tim McGraw sings it, not sure, but about how the time fly's and don't wish it away! Sometimes I did wish it away. But you will love them all no matter what. More children makes more memories.
The most important thing is, that this has to be a decision agreed upon by both you and hubby! Because it takes TWO to raise children!
Good luck and pray in your decision. You will find the answer.
OH LORD- you are all misled... *snicker* I have to laugh that I come off as a calm mother... I loose it just like everyone else - but I do try to back up and look at what I am doing that causes them to do the things that they do that are not good... There are times that I act before I think about how this will 'come off' and how the boys will see me later in their lives scares me!!! LOL More than anything, I want what God wants for our lives and we are SO blessed to have the 3 bio and 2 nonbio that we have. There are days that I want a day to myself, but God is good and always reminds daily that some day shortly I wont be stepping on army guys inthe carpet - and that I will miss it... Thanks guys, keep this coming!!!!
Follow your heart. The most important thing to remember is that you and the Milk Man need to take care of yourselves first. If you are both able and want to then nuts to what anyone else has to day. Hugs!
Interesting question Heidi. I had 4, then lost #2 to cancer at age 8. For a long while after that I wished we had had more. However, our home was always open to other youngsters, and consequently was always full to overflowing. If you and Milkman have love to share, youngsters needing love will find you ... whether bio or not. God Bless.
Hi hun....You seem a very natural earth mother *a wonder woman* so I agree with Peggy go for it!..I think that six has a nice ring to it.. Love, Light and Blessings Mrs Snow :) PS..Just an after thought...(Being the Mum to twins...) You don't have multiple births in your family do you? *GULP!!*
oh honey you listen to your heart! You are such a great mom, and you have the perfect place to raise good kids so go for it if you feel so inclined. with great parents and awesome boys you could probably have 10 more! ;-)
Your kidding me right? You would ask us? Ok since you asked, children are a blessing from God. What I really think is that people who know God and love him can trust God with their reproduction and their family size. I think you two should pray and accept the number of children you feel led to bring up be it 5 or 15. Your great parents you live a great life. Have as many babies as your body can handle and your heart can hold.
Hey, now. God has that one figured in to the plan. I think a BUNCH more would be fine. You gotta cover your bases and make sure there is someone to take care of you in your old age, ya know. I'm not so sure the boys will do that. I made the whole neighborhood swear they wouldn't let our son near me in my old age. I can only imagine. Try for a girl. Face the south or stand on your head or whatever those old wives say, to assure yourself of a girl!! Or just pray about it. Never hurt. Come visit and bring those naughties with you.
Oh, sorry, I wasn't supposed to say anything. Didn't you tell your fam to "shut it"???? How rude. ROFL. What does that Milk Man say about more? Oh, yeah, he's family. No votes there. ROFL again and again. I can't get up. Still ROFL. Help. I'm wondering if you might have to get a milk cow to feed all those chiluns. And maybe a horse, so they got sumpin to do besides go out with the girls...and maybe some chickies to lay an egg or two for breakfast. I'm rambling.....
Stick a fork in your butt and see if clear juices flow out of you....if you bleed then you're not done.
Honey, if you have to wonder if you're going to have another baby, then you are probably going to have another baby and that would be just fine and dandy.
you're so funny. Taking a vote to see if you should have more kiddos. Heck, half of us could be aliens from outer space trying to figure out where we can get a good plate of brains for dinner. Course, the fact that we're reading your blog from the mother ship speaks volumes for you. Go ahead have another, you know you want to.
You go for what ever makes you happy, sister (like maybe a girl,so I can buy dresses)! As for your question over at the willows, I think the littlest niece could whip him into shape and have him doing a dance like a bull with a ring in his nose, then we would be family.......Let the match making begin....or is it "get ready to rumble" with these two that's more like it!
I think its absolutely hilarious that the largest number of comments u have received on ANY post has to be the one about you and milkman procratin ! lololol
Blushing yet?? hey its your blog , im just trying to keep up !
You have a funny family! I have three kids, all grown now..I would have left this decision in God's hands had I had the faith..... If you have faith, than leave it in God's hands...let Him decide for you. But it does take faith...lots really.
Seriously, Heidi, do you really think someone on this blog is going to say no (to you)? You and Milkman do want you want, but I think you already know in your hearts. I say go for it and maybe a couple more too. I just love big ol' farm families. Excuse me, I need to go "talk" to my husband. We need to make our farm family bigger!Ha he he
WOW are you so surprised on all these comments?? There is NO question here at our place. We love our combined family. But NO more kids for the Cowboy and myself. So If it is still a question for you, then it must be a consideration. You are a responsible family. Having another child(Maybe a little milk maid!?) is totally up to you. I support you all the way. Plus a girl would be so fun! Can I pick her name too? How bout little Tw?
We have 5. Its a good busy amount. My sister-in-law (has 4) would say when we would discuss family size--"Rain is good but too much is a flood" So enjoy the rain but prepare for the flood.

I think Mrs Cravitz had the right idea there. Pray on it, and see what God has to say.
See, I *thought* I was done and could not have any more. BAM- look at that- we have two boys 15 months apart. ;)
Love those kids from me Heidi, and squeeze Milk Man too!!
I have seven...after two you are out numbered anyway, so what's one more?
I might not give this same advice to Nadeya Suleman, but for you...I say go for it!
I will be praying for you and of course will make you a baby quilt when it happens!!!
I say 'go for it' sweetie - you are such an amazing, calm, fun MOM !! I would try and see what happens - the Lord will decide for you !!

My goodness, we're all gonna say yes!! I think if you have to ask for a consensus then the answer is yes for you deep down. Just my opinion!
I didn't know 3 were bio and 2 were nonbio, blog about it sometime.
I say, why not have one more? Children are such a blessing! :)
One more! Go for it!
You two make really beautiful babies, I think another little one would be great, you know it is 50/50 that it might be a girl.

I'll just live vicarioulsy through you ok?

I don't know anyone whose ever regretted having a baby. Only those who've regretted NOT having a baby...

There's ALWAYS room for one more!--Just teach big son to do the laundry first.
You're gonna do it -- so I say:
HAVE FUN DOIN' IT!
