Hey everyone - just a quick note to ask a HUGE favor. I have applied to get blogher ads on my blog and was wondering if you would all pass it onto others? I want to be able to make a little money so that I can do better give aways, etc. So the more traffic I get and maintain the better chance I have of getting them to advertise. I noticed that my comments have REALLY declined and I am hoping its just because everyone is busy and not that they no longer read me..... please read me.... Anyway - at the moment I am rendering some lard so I am taking pictures of it as I go - post will be up in the morning! Why are you looking at me in that tone of voice? I always come through right? right? anyone there?
Here is a random shot from the farm....
The Lispy picture is from the 'old' part of the barn - it has since been white washed and looks like a picture perfect barn. This is what lispy wears most of the summer - he feels the need to be 'free'....
Milk Dud's feet are sticking out the bottom of his 'dress' as the Milk Man calls it. He sleeps in little moo-moo's or sacks as some people call them. Milk Man was holding him and his feet were just perfectly sticking out the bottom... dont they look tasty? SO I hop you all have a great night and I am off to finish my lard..... till later, dont let the milk sour.

girl of course we read you, and love you too. Has your package come yet?
Baby Feet!!!!! Loves them!
nibble those tasty toes for me
ps why don't you give away your homemade farm things like bars of home made soap? I mean the stuff you make is so much cooler. use the money for your family. You do make goats milk soap right?
I still read you. I have to have my Lispy fix ya know. LOL Will pass your blog on to some of my country loving friends.
just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your blog :)
Those baby feet look delish, my little chubette is 4 months old and I could just nibble on her toes all day :o) (I'm a newbie, love reading your blog)
Love the pictures of Lispy and of course the baby's feet are to sweet. I enjoy your blog and reading what is going on.
I use lard in a donut recipe from my late mother in law. Only one of the big chain grocery stores here carries lard and sometimes they don't have any. I wish I lived close to you, I suggest a lard give-a-way!
Look at those sweet baby feet! I got the lovely soap today and thanks so much! They smell delicious! And I posted about your gift!

I have your blog listed in my google reader and I enjoy reading about you and your life.
I'm very interested in learning how you render the lard. Do you use it in cooking? I love the pics from the farm. I read everyday. Don't worry about the comments, the visitor and page view numbers are more important.

I brought the other chick in so the hen would stay on the eggs. If she has chicks she will abandon her eggs after a couple of days to take care of the chicks. I want her to hatch the other eggs then will give her these chicks back. It has worked in the past so hopefully she will do it again.
OOOO Of COURSE we read you! You goober! ;)
Heidi-- you make goats milk soap????? For real??? OMG... I will be ALL OVER that! Email me and let me know PLEASE!! Man I LOVE that stuff.
Kiss those babies from me woman!!!!cubwoopee
Also, good luck with your ad campaign. You are already way ahead of the game (or at least ahead of me) in that you have your blog directed to your domain name, which enables you to do more advertising. I haven't made that leap and sure wish I had the time to do so!

Keep writing, I check this blog every evening. More farm and cow pictures. That soap sounds just so nice. I remember my Mom making and cooking with lard. Makes the bes pie crust.
I read your blog every day when I can, keep up the good word!!

I love baby feet!!!
Those baby feet are just SCREAMING for a nibble:)
I'd love to know how things go once you have blogher ads running. I've thought about it, but didn't know if it would be worthwhile. Maybe post in a month or so, and let us know how you're doing?? Thx!
I think people are just kinda quiet right now. I hate to admit that I browse feeds ALL DAY LONG and I have noticed that it's been rather quiet for about a month. Who knows why.
But we still read you! Besides, be careful what you wish for or you might get inane comments like this, every day!
I just love that baby feet picture!
I have come here from far-side-of-fifty and find this is a hoot to read!
I LOVE meeting other farm wives so this is just up my alley!
