I owe, I owe so off to work I go...

Well friends - its happened. I am working 3 jobs, all part time hours and trying to keep the Nut House running.... I am the head nut - any questions? Things are going - but money is always a problem on a farm. Let me rephrase that - a family farm. I have to work off of the farm to be able to afford the needs of our family, small as I try to keep them - we still need toilet paper..dang it. SO - I am at it needless to say. I work part time for the ag dept doing farm surveys, but they dont always have work for me so I must supplament that. I have been working doing some dog grooming, but I am only getting a couple of dogs a day and that is NOT enough to supplement - SO I am also trying to take care of an elderly lady 3 days a week for 4 hours per day. That should help - that and I am going to stop eating, that should be about half of our food budget. The Milk Man is doing well, but his fibromyalgia is really hitting him hard this time of year. We have had such funny weather..cold, damp, rainy and he suffers terribly when the weather changes. The boys are good, naughty but good....what do you all expect from my spawn... **naughty grin** Big Son is doing good with school and karate. He LOVES karate. Milk Dud is going to be 18 months old you guys!! WHERE did my baby go..... he says Mamma, please, thank you and shut up...nice huh... Lispy, well - what can I say about him. He told his grandpa the other day that if he didnt start being nicer to one of the calves..(his words) "Grampa - if you dont sthart being nicer to that calf I am gonna kick your asth... you hear me grampa? You listhening? GRAMPA!! dammit listhen" My father in law heard every word, but was bent over the calf pen laughing his head off and trying not to let Lispy see him....such is life on the funny farm.

So how are you all? How is the new year treating you? I miss you all so much, whenever I think of my blog my heart breaks because I dont have contact with some of the most wonderful people that I used too... Sue The Farmers Wife, Karen from Fresh Fixins.. Sadie...and so many others...Mrs. M, Mikey, Train Wreck, Spanky and I could go on forever... so ladies - and big brother, of course I didnt forget you... :) LOVE YOU please drop me a note and tell me how you all are, or leave a comment. Talk to you all soon!!!

Hello lady!

Well, we are busy too. Hope everything settles down for you soon, but I don't remember farm life ever settling down. Maybe for a day at a time, but not long term. I just shot up a prayer for you and the family...

Have you tried vinegar for the funny boy? I had a friend who actually rinsed out a small eyeglass cleaner spray bottle and put vinegar in it to have on hand for her potty mouth...

And, who wouldn't laugh at that?

Take care!

That is the story of our family farm there just never seems to be enough money but we keep keepen on. That is so funny about what your son said. We were out cutting wood the other day and my niece did the same thing. My son got in the truck and she said Becky is going to whip your ast. She is three and all we could do is hide our faces so she could not see us crack up. Have a great night Rebekah.

I too was excited to see that you had updated! I miss reading about your silly family. We spent the evening watching videos of our girls when they were little--now they are 17 and 21--and yes, where did the time go! Good luck and have fun with all that care-taking of people and dogs and family!

What? Heidi posted again?!!! I was both surprised and thrilled!!! :-D

I remember working three jobs for awhile (three school years total I think it was) - every morning I was the preschool teachers aid at our sons school (the school ran pre -> 8th grades), then some afternoons I worked in the kitchen of a caterer and the other afternoons I did inventory type work at a NAPA store. But I always got out in time to pick the four sons up from school and switch into full mother mode.

During that same time, Brian was working 70 to 80 hour weeks between his two jobs. And yet still, at the end of the year, when we did our tax's - we still fit in under the 'poverty' bar. Crazy!!

An idea for Lipsy - Every time that he says something like that, he has to write it out - 10 times, with out including the cuss words. B-O-R-I-N-G!!!!! Thus effectual.

My husband says that his mom put one tiny dot of liquid dish soap on the middle of his tongue - she only needed to do it twice, and they were m-o-n-t-h-s apart.

What's up with us?
~ We have a new blog site - http://thebzhousethatlovebuilt.blogspot.com would love for you to visit!
~ We've had two deaths and thus funerals for friends whom were near and dear to our heart since this year began
~ Another son is now unemployed - making all four of them currently out of work :-{
~ the grand daughter is now 7 months old and continues to thrill this grandma's heart!!! ;-} I'm 'hoping' to visit them again in about two weeks.
~ this weekend we did the food for our church's middle school snow camp - 45 people

Here's a hug headed straight to you friend!! :-D May God grant you the endurance you need to keep going.

What a nice Sunday surprise ... a post from Heidi! We're having weird warm and wet weather up here in NW Canada. Not much new or exciting happening in my life to report in about. Your post makes me feel positively lazy as I'm only working one job these days and no farm chores. Left family farming 17 or so years ago when the kids graduated highschool. Still miss it though! Take care, Heidi ... you'll always have loyal readers even if your busy life gets in the way of blogging at times!

just so you know-- you aren't forgotten. Anytime you have to post we are all still around! Lispy is getting old enuf to swat for some of that sass. It ain't goin to be funny when he cusses you out at 13. And my baby is almost 2? Say it isn't so!

Heidi said...

OH - I so agree that he needs a swat....he gets them from me. The rest of the family - excluding Milk Man thinks its still funny.... as for the baby...he's not a baby anymore, but a little boy.. **SOB**

My Emmlyne will be 2 in May. She was alsmost born on my birthday. I can't belive how fast it goes, especially when it's your last one. Having babies is to dangerous for me and so my doc said it was best to stop while I'm ahead. I know exactly waht you mean, where did the time go? She can say Mama, hi, Gamma, here, Nu nu (noodle, my dog) and "Ho?" which is hello. So sorry you have to work out of the house. Have you ever tried homejobstop.com? I have a lifetime membership and it has gotten me out of trouble moneywise more than once. Now that I have my MT certification, I get my MT jobs there. Let me know if you want to take a look. I'll email you my loggin info so you can look without buying a membership.
