My brother Bubby....

I am the oldest of 5 kids. I have a sister that passed away when I was 5 and she was 1 1/2. She had a heart condition and in the early to mid 70's, those things were usually fatal. Then I have a brother that is 6 years younger than me - he is the one that lost his best friend. My other sister is 13 years younger than I am and Bubby is 16 years younger than I am. Yes, we have the same mother and dad - they just wanted to continue haveing kids I guess!!

Today I am writing about Bubby - no that is not his real name, he just happens to be a 'Bubby'. He is GREAT with my boys and babysat Lispy when I was working for the zoo - not to be confused with the zoo that I live in by any means. The zoo I worked in, not lived in, was clean, tidy, pleasant, you know normal kind of.... Anyway- Bubby. Bubby was a skinny, puny, little feller that we thought would never put on a single pound. He was SO little that he was behind in the size cloths he should wear for his age. Well, he has definatly cought up - and then some...

Bubby is a funny feller. If there is a joke to be made, he can make it. A few weeks ago the Milk Man, my folks, my brother, my uncle, my cousin and another couple from my dad's work all took a ride on our cycles. Milk Dud came along in the 'suport vehicle' that was my dads truck. My cousins girlfriend, who is also my cousin - long story that I will explain someday - there is NO BLOOD RELATION - anyway, she was pregnant, (man this sounds so BAD) and could not ride on the bike with my other cousin.... this is going from bad to worse. For those of you who are wondering, yes we have all of our front teeth - we are not THAT hillbilly-ish! ANYWAY - My mom and girl cousin took Milk Dud and Lispy in the truck with them so I could ride my cycle. Man, did we have a frigin blast! Bubby's ride is a 2001 Harley Davidson 883 sportster with a 1200 bore Buell kit in it. He is SO big for that bike. He looks like he is trying to ride a small dog. He is about 6 3 and 260... he is big!
We went down along the Mississippi river because the leaves are getting to be gorgeous! The picture is of a look out that we stopped at. It was a beautiful drive. On the way home we took another path. Bubby and I were riding close together when we came upon a HUGE pumpkin stand with the giant pumpkins on them. He pulls up next to me and yells' 'Sis, did you see the size of them there punkins I'd like to take a couple home' - yes, he talks like a hillbilly. I told him that I had and commented that they were rather large and somthing about them not fitting in our saddle bags...and we continued our ride. About 5 minutes later a bike comes from the other direction with a guy and gal on it. This chick was 'stacked' if you know what I mean, and she was only wearing enough on the top to cover the ends. Needless to say, Bubby was next to my bike in a heart beat yelling at the top of his lungs ' DID YOU SEE THE SIZE OF THEM THERE PUNKINS? I COULD FIT THEM IN MY SADDLE BAGS!!!'........ I shook my head.... Bubby is a great guy and a punkin lover....

Your family tree, etc sounds a little like me, that I just posted about this week.

My sister says this family tree does not fork.

It is awful, but not as bad as it sounds, kind of like yours!

Bubby sounds like a real hoot. I love people like that. I always go for personality and a sense of humor.
Have I ever told you how much I love your blog header. It looks like a movie poster I think. Maybe you should sell it to Hollywood or something. I didn't know yo9u worked in a zoo once. Thagt is my dream job. Our zoo is 3 hours away and is not doable. I have even thought of working two 12 hour shifts just to be employed their. I would love to work with the nasty stinky poop throwing monkeys. I know, I am crazy, but I have always wanted a monkey. hubbby says if I get a monkey then he moves out. He is kidding. Who would feed him??? Milk dud does have some sweet baby feet. What are the kids going to be for Halloween? hang in there and don't work to hard this weekend and I'll be see'in ya

about the cousins thing....

I always have a hard time (and a little bit of fun) explaining that my grandmother's brother married her sister. They weren't related either. He was mamaw's half-brother on her dad's side and she was mamaw's half-sister on her mom's side. So, no relation, see? People don't often look like they understand, I don't know why ;-)
