Good morning everyone! Its early, but by the time I get done with this its going to be later.. does that make sense? I did'nt think so, so I will not delete it... make sense? Wha.... OK ..
Its early, I think I said that already but for good measure - ITS EARLY!!! The Milk Man had to be up a bit earlier today, because we have a couple of sick cows. Bad belly aches -SOOOO - he has to give them some soda water - yes soda water. When a cow gets a type of 'bloat' they need to release the gas before the stomach twists and the vet needs to be called. If you dont get the gas off, she will more than likely need surgury - can you say CHA-CHING.... Anyway - I usually set my alarm for 4am because I like to get up and get started on my day before I have to feed the ravenous hord. But, Milk Man got up right away too. 4:30 is his usuall rise and shine time - ok rise time the shining comes about 3 cups of coffee later.
Today we have our advent program at church and potluck after. I was going to make Lefse because its a bunch of Norwegians, but this prevented me from doing that....
It was a little chilly in the house this morning so we had to improvise, he looks like an Eskimo...
Yesterday after his nap, this is how he looked...
So I made pumpkin pies instead - they are in the oven now so I will take a picture of them before I leave for Sunday School with the boys...
I want to know how many of you put up your tree before Thanksgiving? This has bothered me all night, I was laying awake thinking about it - ok, not ALL night, but I did think about it - randomly like....
"I can rise, and I can shine. Do Not Ask Me To Do Both, At The Same Time."
ReplyDeleteMilk Dud is growing SO big!!! He is toooooo sweet.
Punkin pies.... yummmm...
Christmas tree? Well, Granny put hers up this year the day before Thanksgiving, so that the Grandkids could decorate it. Ours is still in the thinking about it stage. I want to steam clean the carpet before we decorate, and lately there has just not been enough time... or ambition!
Kiss that sweet baby from me, and hugs to the rest!!!! Love ya Sista! ;)
Whiskers, the cat wakes me every morning at 4:30 on the dot. He likes to have a early breakfast and will not let me sleep. I haven't decorated anything for Christmas. As usual I am way behind. LOL
ReplyDeleteI want to borrow MilkDud and keep him for a weekend. Diva and the girls would love him. :)
Nope no tree up yet, any pictures you may see on my blog are of last years tree! Patience! Love Milk Duds warm look! :)
ReplyDeleteHeidi-thanks for the comments, and a special kiss on Milk Duds cheeks.
ReplyDeleteWe lived in EC from 79-93. The Trout was a banker with American Natl which then merged with Norwest and then Wells Fargo. We lived in LaX 93-99, also the bank. Still have daughter and her family in EC. It was a living but also a job at times. I worked for Group Health during those years.
I put up the tree last weekend. I love having the tree up and looking at the ornaments and all the good memories that they bring. I used to put it up on Sunday after Thanksgiving, but the last two years, we have put it up earlier, so that we can enjoy it at Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteYour day starts so very much earlier than mine!
Oh my lawd, 4 am? only when I fly to China. I try and get 15 extra minutes and get up at 6:45. Years of working swing ruined me for early mornings. So do ya'll stab your cows between the ribs to "pop" them and ge the gas off?
ReplyDeleteMilk dud is a Cuddle dud, smooch, he makes my lips pucker.
Tree went up day after.
Precious Precious Milk Dud!
ReplyDelete4am?!? I would not be able to function....maybe that's why I never ended up marrying Jeff (the farmer) that I dated. My hats off to you even more.
We just put up our tree today. First time ever that we did it before about the middle of December, so we'll see how it goes.
Our Christmas tree came up the day after Thanksgiving - a little earlier than usual for us - but I saw everyone else's trees through their windows and felt jealous !!
ReplyDeleteI have been out of town for awhile. You have been busy. Thanks for the darling picture of Milk Dud. Smell his head please.
ReplyDeleteNo Christmas tree until around the 20th for us.
OMG little Milk dud is sooooooooooo cute!! Your whole brood is!! No wonder you can get up so early and shine! You've got a wonderful family waking up to YOU!!
ReplyDeleteChristmas tree? IF..I put one up, it's no sooner than 2 weeks before Christmas..I know, I'm the odd ball out
