Please help me....

Ladies, I have been over run... At this moment I am under a pile of laundry with just my arm sticking out, waving a white flag... Honestly, I have lost my mind and I am looking for it. Not sure if I put it in the fridge, microwave, washing machine, dryer or hung it on the cloths line. In honesty, I have been *gulp* lazy... yes I said lazy!! Ok, so I am lying... The weather is cold, 29 this morning and the cold weather requires a diffearnt set of chores for me. Its called 'stoking the stove'. At least 2 times per night I have to get up and 'stoke', which means to put wood into - our wood stove. This stove is what heats our home and helps to dry our cloths on my indoor clothsline in the basement. I am the 'stove keeper' because when the Milk Man stokes the stove, it turns in to a raging inferno in here. In other words its hotter than blazes in the house and my hot flashs make me want to burst into flames!! literaly.... I like to keep the fire in our stove at an even 'burn' so that the house stays the same temp during the day and a bit cooler at night. I really think that a little bit of cool air is GOOD for sleeping and healthier than to warm. People who keep thier houses so warm in the winter that they can wear shorts disturb me. These are the same people who wear shorts in the summer and run the air conditioner. Its all the same cold aint it?!?!?! Anyway - we are in the process of cutting more wood, so I have been cooking extra food, piling wood, nursing Milk Dud extra because he is getting thin.... 18lbs worth of thin and he wont be 3 months till Thursday....

See what I mean, he is nearly gant from lack of food - insert eye roll here -.

I have never seen a baby want to eat so much in my life. He wants 'titty' ALL THE TIME! I would'nt mind if this would help my weight issue, but it just makes me want to eat MORE!! I have enough milk to supply Ethiopia and maybe a couple other small countrys. Milk Man was wondering what my butterfat content was because they have an open stall in the barn..... he lives on the edge people, daring to do things or say things normal men never will... and live..

  4. I just love milk duds "skinny" body! LOL He is adorable. I know the stoke the fire thing. I do it too. One reason is I am only one here and two is when William is home he doesn't even wake up during the night. I like to keep the temp nice and even too. I keep my bedroom door closed so it will stay cold. I like a cold room and sleep under a electric blanket.

  11. Oh Heidi you are killing me!! Please, smooch that little smiley face from me!!! He is just beautiful girl- beautiful.

Milk Man be warned- I too had enough milk to feed a small country, and about the time someone threatened to put ME on the line, HE would have had his SPOUT super glued to his belly while he was sleeping. *ahem* Heidi, pay attention here, love! ;)

Sorry, I have to laugh... 18 pounds at three months..hehehe.. Try having one who was 10 pounds 13 oz AT BIRTH!!! By 3 months he had doubled his weight. He is now the size of a 5 1/2 yr old. And he is only THREE now.

Love you girl!!! Oh-- and I know where you left your mind!!! It's HERE! At my house! Come SOUTH and pick it up, and bring that sweet Lispy and Milk Dud with you!!!!

  12. WOW, that is some uber cute pudge you got there. I think you had better feed him more, I think he is minus a belly roll or two.
My husband does the smae thing with the stove and will sweat us out of house and home if he can.
Love your blog, and your kids are waaaaaaaaaaay too cute.

  13. I wish I could come and help you out and smooch those little plump buns. That is a FINE little baby! just feed him. That's all your supposed to be doing anyway. Yeah RIGHT. Teach those boys how to sort clothes, why not train them young? Your mind will come back after you get through this post partum phase, it's hormones it really is, and a lack of uninterupted sleep, and dealing with young children, and the milkman, and your work load is enormous. Your one amazing woman. I'm right there with you on the cool house at night. I can't figure out why some people out here run the AC on 60 and then same people turn the heat up to 80 just plain crazy.

  18. How cute!!! My babies were on the thin side too...wink, wink. My oldest was 32 pounds at a year old. The pediatrician did test on her to see if she was gonna be a giant. Now she's thin as a rail.
Makes me want another baby for about 2 minutes.
