I heap hot coals on my head....

I am a gluton for punishment, we are homeschooling again. I did this a couple of years ago and LOVED IT - SO - we are at it again. Can anyone say 'your nuts'? Thank you....

How is the world treating the rest of you? Its getting cool here, only in the 60's the last 4 days. My kind of weather.... be back soon!!

  4. dear heidi,

I am moving to your neck of the woods, cuz you wouldn't mind homeschoolin' a couple more....right? I LOVE the idea, but I am just not a natural teacher.. well, mom type things, I am, but math and such...oh my..oh dear..

just kidding, but I do admire your decision to do it!

The weather is cool here too...think like 40's at night. This is SOOO not normal for our area too. It was a much cooler than normal summer as well. I wondering what winter will be like, eek!

  5. This will be our 7th year to homeschool and even though it can be hard at times and I want to pull my hair out a lot, it is the best thing we have ever done for our family. Take it slow and easy and just enjoy being with your boys!

  6. I commend you on the home shooling... I don't think I could EVER do that. Maybe for grade school... but no higher then the 8th grade... After our son got in High School, he was doing work they only do in college... *** Hmm. maybe that's why he went on to 3 colleges & got his BBA and then 2 Masters. *** LOL :-)

Does your home schooling have anything to do with this Swine Flu thing? I keep wondering how many people will home school just so their kids aren't going to be around sick kids. The nightly news make me wonder all sorts of things...;-)

  12. I admire those parents who homeschool. There are some very good resources and co-ops for parents who utilize this option to best benefit from each others' strengths and ideas. I work for a public school teaching special ed to elementary students and I've often toyed with the idea of homeschooling my youngest daughter. My oldest has already surpassed my abilities though (she's in advanced high school math) and my middle daughter isn't far behind her. Three cheers for Super Teacher/Mom!

  13. Freth has a point ...

I'd been following, praying for your family business.

Good luck homeschooling, but please brush up on spelling first.

You Are Nuts with an apostrophe becomes You'RE not YOUR.

  16. I didn't intend to be a "liberal czar" with my remark.

Reading the rest of the comment, and the follow-up post for today, I can't tell if you're being serious or silly.

    So I'll shush up now.
