Well good morning my friends! Today I have a respite from milking, shoveling crap, unloading straw/hay and all that jazz. However, I am not getting a spa treatment, my nails done, nor my hair cut - Milk Man cuts my hair.... has for 17 years. Last time I had my hair cut by someone else.....I dont remember! He's pretty darn good to! not just at cutting my hair either... **snort** but, I am making applesauce today and crocking my kraut AGAIN - second and last batch of the year! PRAISE BE! Tommorow I have to do the corn and beets, tomatos are not doing very well this year at all so I may have to buy some or trade a table dance for a couple buckets.... I am SURE I will get a bunch thrown at me if I try to dance on a table! LOL Anyway! Things are the same here, but the Milk Man and I have decided not to let this steal our joy.... I try to not have a bad attitude and not to let things get me down, so I am sorry for unloading all that on you guys! I know in my heart what ever happens is for Gods greater plan and I accept that - always have just dont always like it... **grin** SO - I will post later tonight about my kraut and sauce... PROMISE!
LOVE YOU ALL and thank you for your support, prayers, gifts and love. There is no greater love than the compasion for others through Gods love and care. LOVE YOU GUYS....
later....
I had to smile... it's great you can MM can try to be positive. I know much to well the road of not letting your joy be stolen because someone or something is acting up. Some day's it's an up hill battle! :)
ReplyDeleteTomatoes aren't doing well here either, bought 3 boxes... 2 done up (23 quarts of juice done, 4 burnt fingers, 1 stabbing of the hand, and pruned up fingers) and one to go. They are just going to have to wait!
Love you too Little Sista ;)
ReplyDeleteThere are plans in the works for all of us girl. All we need to do is keep our chins up and be strong!
Kiss those babies from me, and be SURE Milk Man squeeeeeezes you from me too!!!
xoxo
Our tomatoes had issues this year as well. Many developed brown tips. I had several people offer up theories regarding why this happened, but no solutions to fix them.
ReplyDeleteI'm putting up pears right now. I've never made sauer kraut before so I'm interested to hear all about it. Love to you all.
I had a excellent crop of Tomatoes this year , and corn , and peppers and racoons LOL they got about 30% of my corn the lil theives. anyway i did somthing last year after my garden didnt produce that a old guy recommended . he said plant russian sage near the garden and it will attract bees , thereby better polynation . dont know if thats the answer but i had good crop this year . Good to hear your keeping a positive spirit .
ReplyDeleteThanks for the gardening tip Coffee Man! Glad to hear you sounding like yourself. God will make a way for all of us, I am working on saying my prayers of thanks giving while we are both not working and trying to figure out the next step. If we did not have God then we would have big worries. God has moved us before, like from California to here. It was all good. It's hard to leave family land. God asked Abraham to get up and leave his father and his land and go somewhere totally unknown when he was 80 years old. You are in very good company. God had plenty for Abraham and he loves you and your family just as much. Remember He has no favorites, we are all joint heirs with Jesus. We can have joy in trouble.
ReplyDeleteNo about that table dance, does it come with the home made kraut? My tomatoes were great then we had to much rain with heat and now blech, nothing to can.
Just more to be thankful for right! The rain took away some of the heat. Next year I'm getting a honkin big load of cow poo.
Okay, read your blog, now I'm done. I'm tired. I'm worn out. Good night! BW
